The Cincinnati chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America voted Bronson as winner of both the Johnny Vander Meer Award as the Reds' Most Outstanding Pitcher and the Joe Nuxhall Good Guy Award
Bronson appeared at the 2006 Kahn's RedsFest on December 2 and 3 in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he played two concerts in addition to signing autographs
Has stated over and over that his number one love is baseball over music, even though he still loves to play his guitar and perform in concert
Bronson led all Major League Baseball pitchers in innings pitched in 2006 with 240.2 innings and his name was mentioned for the NL Cy Young Award
